Halle Berry: We Both Know Nahla Needs Both Of Her Parents

It’s been a tough year for Halle Berry. But despite reports that she recently dropped out of a Broadway play due to custody issues with ex, Gabriel Aubry, the Oscar-winning actress says that things are going well, revealing that their so-called “battle” was never about fighting for 3-year-old Nahla.

“When there’s a child involved, it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way,” Berry, 44, tells Extra‘s Terry Seymour.

“Our issues were never about fighting for her,” says the actress. “We both know a child needs both her parents.

“But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse,” Halle adds. “We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place – because for her sake, this is the best way. We both love her more than life.”

Berry, who was just honored at the Jenesse Center’s Annual Silver Rose Gala for her “What a Little Love Can Do” project, is currently dating actor Olivier Martinez.

I sure hope Halle and Gabriel will work things out in the best possible way, for Nahla’s sake. And on another note. ……..Halle is simply stunning in that gorgeous hot pink dress, and those shoes are to-die-for!

I hated her comments about Gabriel before, but I’m really impressed to hear her saying positive things about him. Judging by her comments, they’re putting Nahla first, and that’s what’s most important.

Well, it’s nice to see her talking in a nice way about the issue. Good for her.
