Kimberly Stewart, who is expecting a child with actor Benicio del Toro, was seen as she arrived for lunch at the upscale La Scala restaurant in Brentwood, Calif. on Saturday (May 14).
The mom-to-be was dressed in a casual skirt and flowing black top that hid her baby bump.
And the grandfather-to-be, rocker Rod Stewart, has come around after being initially unhappy after he heard about his daughter’s pregnancy. “It’s going to be good,” he recently told People.
Kimberly and Benicio are no longer together, but in a statement his publicist says the actor is being supportive of the pregnancy. “Although they are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby,” it read.

He’s never said he was unhappy about her pregnancy, that’s just something the Daily Mail made up. Even if that was his feeling, papers shouldn’t spread something like that unless they have reliable evidence.

@Anonymous Of course Benicio isn’t happy with the pregnancy he has made it clear he didn’t want marriage and/or kids. Did you not read the announcement when it came out there was no words like happy or delighted just supportive and looking forward. It was Kim’s choice to keep the baby and this is how she will stay relevant…

It’s true that he has never spoken about the pregnancy but his rep made a very specific statement which clarified that these two people were never in a relationship. Can you imagine anyone being pleased about a pregnancy when you hardly know the woman?

LOL I thought this pregnancy would of answered your question…she has tried modelling, her own fashion line and some acting (can’t for the life of me remember what film she was in) all in addition to getting an allowance from her father. She is well known for hooking up with famous men and now she is pregnant by one the opportunities are endless!! In addition Benicio was asked about the pregnancy whilst he was in NY recently for a Japan film benefit and he said “ummmmmm we’re just going to work that one out day by day” Does that sound like a delighted father to be?

Does it occur to anyone on this board, I mean ANYONE, that maybe SHE is not pleased about a pregnancy when she hardly knows the man?
Just because she didn’t run out and get an abortion doesn’t mean that she’s too happy either. As far as I know, SHE hasn’t given any statements either saying that she’s ecstatic to have HIM as the father of her child.
Sheesh, you people sound like it’s 1952 and he’s some poor guy who got trapped into having a baby by some shrew whore. Maybe this was a jolt to BOTH of them.
@Janna Alana Stewart (her mum) publicly announced that Kimberly is delighted. If she didn’t want the baby then she had the choice to have an abortion (yes it’s not 1952 it’s 2011). Kimberly has no talent per se just lives off her daddy’s money. She’s 31 so why not keep the baby and live of Benicio’s money. She’ll probably talk after the baby’s born (apparently it’s a girl) or do some sort of reality show unless Benicio gives her enough money to keep quiet. I hope they both make better judgements as parents.

I heard about that also – Stevie Nicks mentioned in an interview that it was girl and they were going to call her Sophia and it was due in 2 months(!) Didn’t realise Kimbo was so far gone then again Benicio is about 6ft 3″ – I can’t find that interview so if anyone can find the link please post. Thanks
It was on an interview on E-NEWS about 2 weeks ago. Stevie was talking about Rod Stewart’s new son and started talking about Kimberly’s pregnancy, it was a girl named Sophia and she was due in “a couple of months”. I don’t think she was suppose to let the cat of the bag on that one. I just hope the baby is healthy. But with Kim driving off without wearing a seatbelt from the doctor’s office, she needs to be more careful, at least for that baby’s sake.
Are you seriously saying that it couldn’t POSSIBLY have been a case of them both making the best of a bad situation? What did this woman ever do to you to make you (and all of the other Anonymous’s) write such vile things about her?
Neither you nor I know anything real about this situation, I just don’t think she’s being portrayed fairly here. Plenty of women find themselves unexpectedly (and unwantedly) pregnant and don’t go out and kill the baby.
Janna – people are entitled to their opinion just as you are entitled to yours. I’m taking it for what it is a one night stand/casual fling that went wrong. And as mentioned previously there are options to avoid pregnancy.
Janna – I think you are naive to think Kimberly is unhappy with the pregnancy the reason she looks miserable is that she didn’t get Benicio aswell. He clearly disses her in the statement “yeah I knocked you up but we will not raise this child as a couple.” According to reports she is hoping he will change his mind after the baby is born. At the end of the day the choice is hers to keep the baby.

I would look unhappy if I found out I was pregnant and the father decided he didn’t want us to be together.
Pregnancy is not that difficult to avoid. There is the pill, condoms and if you have an accident, the morning after pill. If none of these work, there is also abortion. She clearly wants this pregnancy and I would guess the only thing she’s unhappy about is that she didn’t get the guy as well.
Good for her! Why not have a baby if you can afford it and have the emotional support from family and friends. She is smart to do it now while she is young rather than waiting to marry “Mr. Right” when her fertility is next to nothing and then have him cheat on her like Jesse James did to Sandra Bullock.

Come on now, she was probably doing hand springs to the obstetrician’s office for the pregnancy test and amnio for the DNA test. She has lived off of Daddy for 31 years and now she is going to live off of Benicio for the next 18 and use her daughter as the meal ticket. I feel sorry for him. He should have been more careful, yes, but to get stuck with someone as obvious as Kim Stewart, let that be a lesson to us all.

I agree but most men are reluctant to do that, it minimizes their “machoness” somehow in theirs and other men’s eyes. Better to shoot blanks than end up in a situation like this for any two people. I hate it for Del Toro, Kimberly is a leech, pure and simple. A good days work would kill her. I hope motherhood changes her for the baby’s sake and him too. If she does get the rumored reality show I hope his family (lawyers in that bunch) block her from letting the baby be filmed. I have been a fan of Benicio’s for a long time and hate he is going through this and will stand by him but I’d like to just sit and ask him what in the devil was he thinking and what does he plan on doing about his little girl. Raising a child will be a wake up call for her (and Benicio) however I feel the lazy is strong in that one so she can always ask Benicio to hire a nanny. I really do hope that Benicio is involved in his child’s life or else that child won’t have a chance being raised by that dummy Kimberly.

SHE can’t afford anything. No job, no nothing, she lives off of everyone else. Daddy has footed her bills for 31 years and now Benicio will have to provide for her and his child. Let’s get real, she is 31, she scoped him out, knew she wasn’t protected, had sex with him and got preggers. I bet she planned it down to the minute. If a man is drunk enough, he will hit on anything. No morning after pill. She was counting the days of her cycle people and laying in wait for Benicio. He learned a hard lesson but he will have a beautiful child to love whether he wants her or not. I think he will in time. Right now he is angry and you can’t blame him. He is a very private person and Kim is taking a lot of that away from him. His emotions run deep and he needs time to adjust to this. The child will be worth 10 of the mother. I hope she takes after Benicio in looks. A dark beauty with soulful eyes and a killer smile.
@ Robin – I have no doubt she planned this…she was always on the lookout for a famous man to get her hooks into….look at pics of her with Jude Law even he won’t admit he went out with her. Glad Benicio saw sense not to stick with her just because of the baby. I hope his family of lawyers give him all the support he needs to stop that leech of a woman taking advantage.
It’s a big wake up call for them both. I hope Kim will be a good mom, I really do. I think she will in the end after all the hoopla dies down. After the initial “I don’t want kids shock” wears off of Benicio and he sees his daughter he will change his mind, the men that have this attitude are usually the ones that make the most dotting fathers. He doesn’t have to deal with Kim to be a good dad and I think he has the makings of a good father. If she doesn’t push it that is. He is just not part of the package, baby or not. He may not be hands on now but when Sophia is older I say he will be attentive and she will have Daddy wrapped around her finger. I am going to wait and see. I am betting on Benicio to come through on this.
