Mad Men star January Jones recently announced that she’s expecting her first child. The single mom-to-be split from Saturday Night Live comedian Jason Sudeikis earlier this year and is remaining mum on the identity of the baby’s father.
The 33-year-old actress – who is set to light up the big screen in X-Men: First Class next month – opened up to The Sun about the increased paparazzi now that she’s sporting a baby bump, her excitement about welcoming the baby and her hopes to find Mr. Right.
The blonde beauty, due to give birth in the fall, said “everything seems kind of pointless” if you do not have kids.
And she’d love to share the experience with the right man.
I would love to find an interesting man to date but people don’t seem to date so much any more. It’s more of a hanging out process. It’s hard to find romance, the kind of love story that carries you away. I would love to have that. I’m pretty idealistic when it comes to love.”
Unlike most expectant moms in Tinseltown, January actually appreciates the paparazzi.
“They’re always taking pictures while I’m walking my dog and shopping, which I can’t imagine is very interesting,” she said. “The weird thing is, it kind of makes me feel safe. I live alone and I feel like they’re always there, always watching. If someone were to come in and rob me, there’s photographers. It’s like the best security system ever.”
