It’s an exciting time for actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Not only is she expecting her second child with husband Seth Gabel, but she’s about to fulfill one of her lifelong dreams – working with her dad Ron Howard. The Eclipse star recently sat down with Parade magazine and dished on baby number two and her upcoming father-daughter project.
On the second time around: “Everyone has told me that it’s easier, but to be honest, the morning sickness has been so intense. It was the first time as well, but this is sort of a whole ‘nother level. I just keep saying in my head that it means that the baby is really present and healthy. But I would choose this a million times over. I feel so fortunate to be able to have another child.”
On working while pregnant and parenting 4-year-old son Theo: “It’s really hard. It’s hard for any working parent. I think it’s one of those things that you can only plan so much. You just have to make decisions on a day-to-day basis because life isn’t predictable.”
On teaming up with Ron for Project Imagin8ion: “My relationship with him is not just as father and daughter. I really value his mentorship. He always said that if he weren’t a director that he would be a teacher, like a high school teacher and a basketball coach. He has that natural aptitude for teaching and mentoring, so to have the opportunity to be the recipient of that is something that I don’t take for granted.”
