Jenna Bush Hager‘s father, George W. Bush, may not be Commander-in-Chief anymore, but he’s still hoping to use his power to get some things done. One of his top priorities — for his daughters to make him a grandfather; and he’s willing to go to extremes to make it happen.
“My dad saw my husband’s boss at a conference, and he said to stop paying my husband until we produce children,” Hager tells People.
But right now, the NBC correspondent and her hubby, Henry Hager, are both quite content with their cat, Bernadette, and focusing on their careers, which keep them plenty busy.
And when the time comes, Jenna and Henry will have the perfect babysitter nearby — her twin sister, Barbara Bush.
Now that the two are both living in New York City, they’re able to spend a lot more time together, and already serve as cat sitters for one another.
“The good thing is, we both have cats, and so I’m the cat sitter for her cat,” says Jenna. “The bad thing is, I end up traveling so much that my husband is usually the cat sitter for both cats. He’s like, ‘If I have to watch any more cats…'”
Jenna and Henry celebrated their third wedding anniversary in May. Henry, who had to work on the exact day of their anniversary, surprised Jenna with a trip to Turks and Caicos. It was the couple’s first trip alone since their honeymoon!
