Katie Holmes and her 5-year-old daughter Suri had a fun afternoon in Miami, Florida on Sunday (July 17). Both in bikinis, the mother-daughter duo made some new friends as they enjoyed a swim at their South Beach hotel.
We spotted the pretty pair with papa Tom Cruise having some fun in the sun the day before. Tom entertained on the balcony of his hotel room, giving the crowd a little taste of his upcoming film Rock of Ages. Katie and Suri watched on as the 49-year-old actor wowed with a shirtless demonstration of his ability to rock-out with a microphone.
Tom’s older children – Isabella, 18, and Connor, 16 – from his marriage to Nicole Kidman have not been spotted with the Holmes-Cruises.
Not a fan of her acting, but based on all the photos I’ve seen, Katie Holmes seems like an awesome, dedicated parent who spends a lot of one on one time with her daughter. Come to think of it, I can’t remember the last time I saw Suri with a nanny – bodyguard(s) for sure, but the entourage seems to be limited to that. Nice.
Gwen Stefany could take lessons from her in being a hands on parent, that’s for sure. She can’t seem to function without a nanny.

I think Suri looks like Tom. She has his stronger features, big nose and pale skin. And how come this “amazing athlete” needs a pool noodle? Surely she can do butterfly and tumble turns by now. Also, final snark, hate bikinis on little girls.
But, looks like a fun day in Miami.
