In the magazine’s Sunday issue, the actress opens up about everything from her battle with thyroid cancer, her love life with beau Nick Loeb, and yes, even the possibility of having more children!
At age 39, Sofia Vergara has gone through her share of tough times, but despite the tragedies in her life, including her brother’s drug addiction and her own bout of cancer, the Colombian actress has maintained optimism through her faith, and the deep love she has for her 19-year-old son, Manolo.
I try not to think about the bad times,” says Vergara. “Bad things happen — killings, sickness, heartache. I’ll never find the answer why, but there must be a reason, because I know God is good.”
Now, having beat cancer, Vergara is enjoying all that life has to offer with businessman Nick Loeb.
“We have a very happy relationship,” Sofia tells the magazine. “Last year we rented a place for six months in New York. It was the first time that I lived with somebody since I got divorced.” Vergara married Manolo’s father, her high school sweetheart, at age 18, but the pair grew apart and amicably divorced just two years later.
It seems that things are going quite well with Loeb though. The couple is apparently considering starting a family!
“Nick wants babies,” shares Sofia, adding, “Imagine me, again with a baby, when Manolo is 20! I guess eventually I’ll do it — for love.”
