Kate Hudson’s Beach Boys

Kate Hudson's Beach Boys

New parents Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy were seen spending some quality time with Kate’s 7-year-old son Ryder on a beach in Malibu, Calif. on Sunday (July 24).

The mother-son duo had fun playing with a stuffed Smurf while the Muse frontman stretched across his sweetheart on a bench.

The engaged couple recently welcomed son Bing. So happy!, Matt tweeted. “Just had a baby boy, Bingham “Bing” Hawn Bellamy. Born 7Ib 12Oz, on 9th July.”

Ryder’s father is Kate’s ex-husband, The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.

That is the weirdest picture ever. Oh look, there’s the baby! No, wait, that’s a stuffed smurf. Who’s that little boy lying on the bench? Oh never mind.

Haha! Yeah, I had to keep doing double takes as well. Ultimately it felt weird seeing them all out without the baby. He was just born. I’d think they’d want to spend as much time bonding with him and nurturing him. Just odd to me.

I believe this picture was taken at their beach house… Baby is feet away inside house… most likely sleeping being tended to by family member or the nanny. Everyone needs a couple minutes break even when you have a newborn.

the beach is nothing less the backyard of their house, can’t they spend 20 mns there of quality time with Ryder while bing’s grand-parents (could be a nanny, whoever…) look after him (probably sleeping) ?. Don’t feel like a crazy thing to me….

Im sorry but I didn t spend any time away from my baby during his first month of life, no matter how qualified or close family member would be taking care of him, is just your responsability to be there for you newborn at all times! Ryder should be big enough to understand that as well.

Well, don’t get me wrong. You are you, and they are… uh, they? I mean, every person is different. And I think Ryder is old enough to understand. Pretty sure they’re bonding a lot with him because he’s a kid, and he has needs. If he wants to play outside…

Waiting for people to start criticizing them in 3, 2, 1….

They’re now a family of four. Ryder is 7, so what? I don’t see anything wrong with them playing with him. Plus, it’s THEIR HOUSE and that DOESN’T MEAN they’re terrible parents.

they probably were only gone for an hour just to give Ryder some alone time. Why not?? If the baby was out there with them people would complain it’s too hot or sandy for a baby to be there. Sometimes it’s a no win situation for celebs.

Oh come on, it is not a crime to leave a presumably sleeping baby with relatives or qualified nannies for 20 minutes or whatever, obviously they know what to do if the baby wakes up and Kate is probably like a minute away. I think it’s really sweet and special that they’re making time for Ryder where it’s just him, because with a new baby that’s hard to balance.

Well, this is apparently her beach house where they are staying, so like others have said, the baby is probably just a few seconds away indoors with relatives/friends or a nanny! I think it’s great how they (esp Matt) are spending time with Ryder for which is probably an hour at most during a day, the baby will likely be sleeping and being looked after perfectly well. It’s also great how they are keeping the baby away from all this media crap, they obviously realise if they brought out the baby with them for even a minute it would probably be all over the papers/gossip mags. It’s a shame most other celebs can’t follow this lead!
