Rod Stewart is A Hands-On Daytime Dad

Having welcomed his 8th child earlier this year, perhaps it's not all that surprising to learn that 66-year-old rocker Rod Stewart sometimes forgets his kids' names!

"I'm very proud of my kids," Rod says in a new interview. "The funny thing is with the little one - so many of them I can't remember their names now - um, Alistair. When I'm around Als I'm 'dad' but when I'm on tour, if I'm away for a couple of nights, he calls me Rod Stewart."

Along with new son Aiden and 5-year-old Alistair, his kids from his current marriage to Penny Lancaster, Rod is dad to 6 older kids from previous relationships.

When it comes to fatherhood, the 'Forever Young ' singer insists that he's a hands-on dad... during the day.

"As long as it's during the day I'm OK, I can't seem to do the night things anymore."
