Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are rumored to be reconciling, and the two were spotted hopping aboard a private jet in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday (August 19).
A source tells Us Weekly that the exes are “thinking of getting back together” and Charlie’s guilt over the pain he’s caused his kids – he and Brooke are parents to 2-year-old twins Bob and Max – may be what’s driving the reunion.
“[Brooke's] totally gung-ho,” the source says. “[Charlie] just wants his kids to be happy, and if that means they need to be a family, then he is up for it…The kids have suffered a lot, and he feels so guilty lately.”
The fired Two And A Half Men star “hates that he’s made [his kids] so unhappy,” adds the source. “No one believes anything he says, but the truth is he’s been clean since February.”
A source says the parents have been “getting counseling and therapy [with] the boys” and Mueller, who has struggled with substance addiction, is “actually responding to treatment.”
Charlie also has two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards and a 26-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Getting back together? I can just see the kids being taken away for good. A drunk and a coke head trying to raise those poor kids? Geez.
