Though Jon Gosselin is looking forward to the possibility of his eight children living more private lives after the last episode of Kate Plus Eight airs on September 12th, according to his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, 10-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and 7-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel “weren’t ready” to say goodbye to the cameras and crew that have been a part of their lives since 2005. And apparently, she’s not exactly ready to let go either.
“I’m freaking out. Big time,” Kate tells People.
But her fears aren’t about life without reality TV cameras. For Gosselin, it’s about life without a job; at least for now.
“I’ve never quit a job in my life without having something else lined up,” says Kate. “I don’t know what’s next.”
As a single mother with a very large house to maintain, Gosselin is prepared to do what’s necessary to keep her children’s lives from dramatically changing.
“I told them I will work my fingers to the bone to make sure that they can stay here and go to their school,” says the mom-of-eight. “There are no guarantees in life for anyone, but they know that I’m giving it my best shot.”
