Fans of The Rachel Zoe Project are quite familiar with celeb stylist-turned-designer Rachel Zoe‘s tendency to overdo it; working non-stop and settling for nothing less than per-fec-tion. But the new mom tells The Cut that since having her son Skyler six months ago, she’s become much more calm, which has ironically helped her get more done!
“Having my son now, it’s actually given me clarity and making it easier,” Zoe, 40, tells the blog.
“My time is limited and so everything’s more focused, and I’m actually way more efficient,” explains the fashionista. “And I’m also happy all the time.”
All of these changes haven’t gone unnoticed by Rachel’s staff either.
“Everyone on my team has actually said to me, ‘You’re so calm!’” shares Zoe. “I’m like, I have Skyler. Everything people said [having a baby] does, it does.”
It sounds like motherhood suits Rachel quite well.

She’s a loving mama and that is the most important thing. In some photos I’ve seen she looks great. Nobody takes a great picture ALL the time.
Ariana,
Show me ONE great picture of this wrinkley old prune and your wish is my command.
i love how he’s grabbing her finger
I feel like the baby should be feeding her!!
She probably can’t digest solid food anymore anyway
Ariana @ I’ve watch her show she alway looks like crap.
What, she’s not “39″ anymore? Hasn’t that been her official age for the past 8 years? Hmmmm. I wonder what made her take the plunge.
She looks good…for 55.
This is not what 40 looks like (unless you’ve had a really hard, rough life). If she’s 40, then I’m writing a letter to Santa.
Although there are lots of 40+ year old moms on this site (Salma Hayek, Halle Berry, Jennifer Connelly, RAchel Wiess, Sandra Bullock), Rachel Zoe seems a lot older and totally out of place.
yeah, yeah, yeah, but rachel is a “natural” beauty
I watch her show and I have to admit, I am a bit worried about her parenting skills. She doesn’t seem very knowledgeable or prepared.
Rodger made a comment last night that “soon she will be in her 50′s with a couple of kids”.
