Carrie Underwood: Kids Right Now “Would Be Bad”

Carrie Underwood: Kids Right Now "Would Be Bad"

Singer and actress Carrie Underwood is certain about starting a family with hockey husband Mike Fisher, although it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen any time soon.

“I’m good on the kid front right now,” the American Idol winner told E! Online at the I Heart Radio music festival at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand this past weekend.

“Mike and I are both so busy. We want to do what’s best for us and our future children. Anytime within the next few years would just be bad.”

While the couple seem to agree on not having children at this time, they can’t seem to agree on how many children to have. “I say two but he grew up in a family of four,” Underwood said. “I just don’t know if I can do that. I would probably want to pull my hair out.”

While the singing beauty has recently dabbled in the acting world (she’s appeared on How I Met Your Mother, made her big screen debut in Soul Surfer and was last seen on CBS’ Blue Bloods dueting with Tony Bennett), Underwood said music will always be her top priority.

Well if music is always going to be her top priority then she has no business having kids anyways.

She didn’t say that music will always be her top priority. She said she’s too busy with music to have kids right now. You’re reading things into the article that aren’t there.

Umm, graduate school is my top priority right now, so does that make me a bad person? Absolutely not, it simply means that I’m not ready for kids yet, which is exactly what Carrie is saying too. Get off your high-horse, some of us actually like to plan our families & guarantee that we’re able to give them our full attention & financial stability when we feel we’re ready to.
