Jade Goody's Mum Jackiey Budden, 55, Suffers Miscarriage
| Sep 26, 2011 by JENNY SCHAFER |

Jade Goody's mum Jackiey Budden has suffered a miscarriage at the age of 55.
In an emotional interview with the Sunday People newspaper, Jackiey revealed she was 10 weeks pregnant when she lost her baby.
Jackiey, who had conceived the child with 45-year-old boyfriend John Hickinbottom, said she was hit with cramps and bleeding earlier this month. "The moment I realised the baby had died, I broke down in tears. It was so painful, both physically and mentally. It was just so awful."
Jackiey said that the prospect of becoming a mum again was like being given "one last chance" by God.
I thought Jade was bringing me a little girl from up there. It was like she was helping me from Heaven," she added. "I've lost Jade and I've lost contact with my son Brett so I was over the moon that I had another chance. Now I'm so upset, I'm grieving again."
She added: “The baby would never have replaced Jade but it would have given me something to love, like I love her. This time I would have been a proper mum.”
The baby - which Jackiey named Harriet - would have been born next March around the third anniversary of 27-year-old Jade’s death from cervical cancer.
Jackiey revealed that while the pregnancy wasn't planned, she and John were delighted when they found out they would be starting a family after just one month of dating.
When she first found out she was pregnant, she "was shocked and scared." She added, "I was scared of what it would mean for a woman of my age to be pregnant. Straight away I rang John and he was over the moon. As I got used to it I because so happy at the prospect of being a mum again."
Jackiey said that Jade, a former British TV personality, would have been thrilled for her.
"Jade would have been so happy. I thought she would be looking down, I think it was a present from her. I'm a very spiritual person and I thought it was meant to be."
Jackiey thought this was her second chance at motherhood.
This time, I promised myself I would have been a really good mother," she said. "To have lost the chance is heartbreaking. I thought I was getting somewhere with my life but now I'm back to being sad again. I have lost Jade and now I have lost what would have been her little sister."

this story is so creepy.
!!!!!!! Cannot be true
Another made up story from a sad old lady!!!
I wonder If Jade's sons to see their grandmother? where are the boys now? I've never seen them
That woman is only 55? She looks about 70.
She is British, enough said. They age horribly.
55?! come on now...
well thanks goodness for that. what was she thinking? some people just suck at life.
Obviously it was Mother Nature letting her know that someone her age has no business whatsoever getting pregnant. I am sad that she lost her daughter, Jade, far too young but she never should have gotten preggers. I am surprised that biologically, she was even able to (no menopause or pre-menopause yet?)
Jackie just hasn't aged well that's all it's stories like this that argue for a cut off age for IVF
Well I feel sorry for anyone who has had a still birth or miscarriage. But at 55, yikes, you really shouldn't be having babies. Of course it's not impossible. If your still menstrating regularly and having sex it's a small but still real chance you can concieve. My mom is 55 and I think about it happening to her and I cringe! lol
She also sounds a bit delusional. She named the 10 week old fetus and clearly thinks it was a female.
Her body probably sensed that her old egg was not a healthy, viable one and expelled it. It's a safeguard against producing defective offspring. The oldest I know personally of a woman having a baby is 51.
Um CBB Jade's mom isn't 55 she's 53 born in 1958 and @SMH people name their miscarried/ still born children often as part of the grieving process for example fmr President Kennedy & Jackie named their still born daughter Aribella in 1956
Courtney- Pretty sure naming your stillborn baby is a bit different than naming your 10 week old fetus. I am not saying it is right or wrong to assign sex and name your 10 week old expelled fetus I am just stating that it is a very different thing and should not be compared.
SMH,
I lost a baby at 11 weeks. I obviously can not know for sure, but my gut told me it was a boy(and my gut has never been wrong with any of my other kids). I named him Jack. Regardless of how far along a woman may be when she loses a child, it is her child, and for many, giving that baby a name is a way of creating a bond between you and that child you didn't get to know. My baby didn't get to live, but at least he had a name, which means he was a person. Care to call me delusional, too? While I may not agree with this woman's choice to have a child at that age, we are not here to judge. Whether you're 55 or 25, losing a child that you want so badly is devasting, and she deserves the same sympathy as anyone.
Sorry for your loss. Maybe bad choice of words.
I have known many women who have had miscarriages nobody has ever named their fetus so yeah for me I guess I find it odd. My mom had a miscarriage and she said she never thought twice about what it was bc to her it just was no longer real (not that you forget that it happened but that it obviously wasn't meant to be and she accepted it). For ME personally I think by naming something that u have no idea whether it's male/female just becomes a prolonged attachment to something that was never to be. We all grieve differently so I guess if one needs to do that to move on then your right I have no right to judge someone else.
Dose she have a nose ring?
It does look like she has a small stud in her nose. Maybe this lady does have mental problems and is trying to reclaim her youth or something?
I live in England and alot of people are commenting that this person had a hysterectomy some years ago and talked about it on a chat show. If this is true, this is a truly sick thing to make up for some attention and money. If not true I still dont believe this person is fit to be a mother at any age.
As for this -

Instead of basing your opinion on this one women I suggest you dont generalise. I look alot younger than I am and I know alot of others who do also. I am sure the same can be said of wherever you are from too!!!
Americans suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you like that TF, not nice to stereotype a nation! Not all Americans suck well except you!
A still born and an early miscarriage (10 weeks is early) is not the same thing...
The real tragedy here is that her boyfriend's last name is Hickinbottom.
Haaa! That made me lol!
This woman does have a past history of coming out with some crazy things but pregnant or not, she is the only one who knows the truth and a loss of a pregnancy at ANY gestation is a sad one. Yes, she was probably a bit old to be getting into a situation where she could fall pregnant, maybe she didn't think she would but to make some of the comments some here are is down right crass.
With regards to the British not ageing well comment, well, let's not feed the troll hey?
