From her 10,000 square foot home in Jupiter Island, Florida to her private jets to her custom-made couture wardrobe, singer Céline Dion is quick to admit she enjoys an “extraordinary life.” But the Grammy-winning mom-of-three says it’s important to her that her kids stay grounded.
“When you have nothing, it’s difficult to raise a child. When you have everything, it’s hard to raise a child,” Céline tells Canadian newspaper the Globe and Mail. “But it’s not what you give them that’s important. It’s what you teach them – that is the line I remember when I make all decisions.”
After enduring six rounds of in vitro to conceive her almost 1-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, Céline says that she is relishing this time with them and with her husband René Angelil and their oldest son René-Charles.
“I see this time as the greatest gift of all,” gushes the devoted mom. “This [motherhood] is the most extraordinary gift that life can give us. I’m trying to cherish every second.”
