Milla Jovovich: I'll Never Be Just A Mom

Is Milla Jovovich moving to Mongolia? Well, maybe not anytime soon – but the Resident Evil star admits she’s often tempted to leave it all behind and raise her daughter Ever, 3, somewhere far, far from Beverly Hills.

“I worry about Ever,” Milla, who is married to director Paul W.S. Anderson, tells UK newspaper The Telegraph. “She’s the daughter of two successful people living in Beverly Hills: that’s gross. And that’s why at some point I want to take her to live in a village in Mongolia where we can help milk the yaks.”

For now, though, the family will remain in California, where the busy star says the coming year “is going to be all about my daughter.” Milla is quick to add, though, that she’s not about to ditch her day job in favor of being a stay-at-home mom.

“Not that I’m ever going to be just a mum, because it’s not in my nature, and what’s the point of being with your kid 24 hours a day if you’re depressed, which I would be?” she asks.

Milla has a handful of films hitting theaters in the coming year, including the latest installment of the Resident Evil franchise, directed by her husband.

Oh this is laughable. A field trip to Mongolia to milk the yaks so her daughter can see how fortunate she is to live in Beverly Hills. No, my mistake, they are actually going to “live” there which implies more than just a visit. And I can hardly wait to see what she considers to be proper yak-milking attire including dressing down but w/ plenty of caked-on makeup and lots of hair dye. Or is the yak-milking just for the little girl? Yeah, this Hollywood movie star will fit in perfectly w/ the Mongolians. She better go there soon, there might not be too many yak-milking job openings once word of this gets out.

She cannot just go to some rural area somewhere, nope, she has to go to MONGOLIA, and that just proves what? Like ordinary people can afford to go to Mongolia milk yaks, what about just a COW Mila or maybe a GOAT????? Not high standard enough???? Truly laughable!

If she’s looking for a dose of reality, perhaps spending a few days with a family struggling from payday to payday might be more realistic. After all, that’s how many people are living these days. The rich really have no idea what it means to do without.

I don’t get what you people are upset about so she doesn’t want her daughter to become another Paris Hilton how knows nothing of the real world outside of her rich Beverly Hills life style and to appreciate how fortunate she is. Maybe Milla has a connection to Mongolia she may have been there in the past and love that way of life.

She said LIVE in Mongolia NOT visit.

If she thinks it’s gross, why not move? There’s no law that says you HAVE to live to excess if you’re wealthy.

Sorry for the mistake in my first post.

Wow, I can’t believe how jealous some of you sound. I’m pretty sure she was joking when she made the Mongolian comment. If you have read any of her interviews, she has a pretty sarcastic sense of humor. And by saying “it’s gross”, it sounds like she is implying that the pressure on her child to succeed in L.A. is what is “gross”. So, all of you taking cheap shots at her might want to consider laying off because you sound like bitter housewives with no lives. Since when is it wrong to want to expose your daughter or son to other experiences around the world? Her caked-on makeup? So she is photographed at premieres for her movies and you guys slam her for wearing makeup? Really? Why are women so nasty to each other? Pathetic. Grow up. She’s obviously a great mother who wants her daughter to live outside the Hollywood bubble.

Hmmm, why don’t you concentrate on being “just” an actress love. Its not like there is no room for improvement….

Europa@ People from 3rd word countries and homeless can say the same about people like you and how you don’t know what it’s like to do without. You have a roof over your heads food on the table, computers, TV’s, car’s nice clothes. Where there are family struggling trying to stay alive, living on the street, not knowing when there next meal is going to come, how are they going to find food to feed their children, getting fresh drinking water, keeping their kids worm and safe.

So before you start looking down at Millafor what she said remember that there is always someone who has it worse then you.

I bet her husband is on the phone w/ a travel agent PDQ to make those travel arrangements, two one-way tickets for the wife and daughter to Mongolia! If only every other husband/father had it that easy! In fact if I were him, I’d just ship the wife there right now to set things up for a fulfilling life of assistant yak-milking.

Some of you are sounding very stuck up and ignorant. Milla is one of the most humble people in Hollywood right now. And Anonymous(5:10pm), very well said! Thank you!
