Derek Fisher Spends Time With Twins

NBA athlete Derek Fisher was spotted spending some precious quality time with his adorable 5-year-old twins Tatum and Drew on Thursday (September 29) in Calabasas, Calif.

The Los Angeles Laker escorted the children to a showing of a Dolphin Tale at a local movie theater and treated them to a sweet treat before heading home.

Derek – who also serves as the president of the National Basketball Players Association – is currently involved in the fourth lockout in the history of the NBA, during which time teams cannot trade, sign or contact players and players cannot access team facilites, trainers or staff members until they reach a deal with the NBA owners.

Although both sides have failed to reach a resolution regarding salary caps and revenue splits, Derek feels that the association must stand strong in their demands and remain as a unified entity throughout the lockout’s duration.

In a written latter addressed to the players, Derek stresses that they must “drive the game” in order ensure that profits and being shared equally:

We must share failrly in the continued growth of our business. Any deal that decouples us from a fair share of the revenue growth in the years to ahead is a deal we cannot accept. Period!”

Derek and his wife Candace have four children – Tatum and Drew together, son Marshall from Candace’s previous relationship and daughter Chloe from Derek’s previous relationship.
