Congratulations to First Lady Carla Bruni!
Le Figaro reports that she and French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, 56, welcomed their first child together – a girl – at 8 p.m. today (October 19), making Bruni the only sitting first lady in the country’s history to have a baby.
According to The Daily Mail, Bruni was seen entering the Clinique de la Muette in Paris early this morning, with one member of the hospital staff later claiming, “She’s had the baby — it’s a little girl.”
The president is reported to have spent 30 minutes at his wife’s bedside after the delivery, before heading to a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Frankfurt; not answering any questions from the media about the first baby’s birth.
Those close to the happy couple say that Bruni and Sarkozy have decided the event should remain a “private matter,” therefore no information has been released regarding the baby’s name.
The first daughter for both parents, this is the second child for Bruni, who’s also mom to 10-year-old son Aurelien. President Sarkozy has three sons from previous marriages – Pierre, 26, Jean, 25, and Louis, 14.

Well I guess the boy rumor are false.
She is the First Lady of France..it would be the same thing as saying that First Lady Michelle Obama is a nobody! Right ! Just Obama’s nobody wife!
She also said thst you will not see a pix of the baby or it’s name…it is private
So tell me how they came up with that name!
I had it in my mind that they’d found out the sex and the baby was a boy, but how lovely to have a girl after a total of four boys! I bet Baby Girl Sarcozy is gorgeous
