Is today going to be the day?!
According to reports France’s First Lady Carla Bruni and President Nicolas Sarkozy checked in at the Clinique de la Muette in Paris today (October 19) to give birth to their first child together.
Doctors at the hospital confirm that the Italian singer has reserved four suites for their stay; one for herself, one for the president, and the other two for the bodyguards who will remain with the couple at all times.
Hospital workers say that the suites, each valued at 250 euros per night, are not “particularly luxurious,” but all personnel have been instructed to make the stay as pleasant as possible for the president and his wife.
This is the second child for Bruni, who’s also mom to 10-year-old son, Aurelien. President Sarkozy has three sons – Pierre, 26, Jean, 25, and Louis, 14 – from previous marriages.
Will the couple finally add a baby girl to their growing family? Hopefully, we’ll find out soon!
The First Lady has mostly stayed mum on the details of her pregnancy, explaining that she’s superstitious, and that the people of France are generally not interested in it.
