Ava Jackman‘s future suitors had better watch out: Her action hero dad Hugh is already preparing for the day his adorable daughter starts dating! The protective papa, who also has 11-year-old son Oscar with his wife Deborra Lee Furness, talks family and films in a new interview with Parade.com.
On their family Sunday mornings: “We have a bit of a sleep-in and then breakfast. I’m the pancake maker. Sometimes I get fancy and do crepes. When I met my wife, I was having a dinner party, and I made crêpes Suzette flambées, which I learned from my dad. It’s a good little seducer.”
On being a protective papa: “[When Ava starts dating,] that’s when playing a role like Wolverine comes in handy. They’ll come by and I’ll casually have the claws in my hand. That would be more effective than a baseball bat!”
On the lesson he hopes to teach his kids: “Keep searching for that thing you love to do. Once it marries with the thing you’re good at, that is priceless.”

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between pancakes and crêpes? Crêpe is just the French word for pancake! What does he mean: “When I get fancy“?
American pancakes are not at all like French crêpes! Crêpes are very thin and not fluffy at all. The are larger and normally folded together and filled with sweet or hearty stuff (chocolate spread, sugar, cheese, bacon…).
Am a great fan of this man and as I learn from him more about the type of husband and father he is I so respect and admire him too
I love Hugh Jackman. I love that he and his wife adopted their two kids domestically in Australia. He and his wife seem like an odd couple. That’s just an observation, since I no nothing about their personalities. I think Ava has the best little personality. Anyway, a lotta blabbering, to just say how much I love Hugh.
He is so lovely…
