Denise Richards: “Often Times I Feel Like A Hypocrite With My Daughters”

Actress Denise Richards may live a life full of glamour, beauty regimes and excercise routines but the mom-of-three often struggles with teaching her eldest daughters Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, healthy views of beauty and body image.

“I often times feel like a hypocrite with my daughters when trying to teach them to have a healthy view on beauty and body image,” the Valentine’s Day actress reveals in her CelebVillage blog. “I'm in a business where looks and weight do matter.”

Denise - who tries to stay away from terms such as dieting and thin and instead uses phrases such as “healthy and strong” around her daughters - claims that she doesn’t “obsess about wearing makeup” when she goes out and often “looks frumpy in paparazzi shots” because she just “throws herself together.”

And when it comes to her beauty regimes, Denise feels that her typical healthy messages can come across as confusing and contradictory to her daughters.

My girls see me at work or getting ready for photo shoots and I'm sure at times it can be a confusing message to them when I'm being primped, dressed and fussed over. I always explain its Mommy's job. They see me get spray-tanned and my nails done too.”

So what are her thoughts about plastic surgery?

“I honestly feel that it's whatever makes a person feel good about themselves. I've been open about having my breasts done, several times actually. That's all I've had done and all that I plan to do. At 19 when I first got my breasts done, I wish that I was confident enough with my body to not have had surgery. That is something that I really want to encourage in my daughters, to embrace their healthy body and have confidence. I actually feel more confident in my skin now than in my 20's. Being confident is one of the sexiest qualities a woman can exude.”

the hypocrisy is not based on a life of prejudices, and less one is, when you have two daughters as beautiful as yours denise, the hidden hipodrecia what one is, to give a false appearance, I see what you are, but if you think you should to take things calmly and choose your jobs corde age and artistic pretensions .... about your life, is private and as such, some aspects should not be taken lightly ...
