After a weekend of shutting down reports that he and girlfriend Selena Gomez had split, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is hoping to put another rumor to rest soon, too.
According to TMZ, Bieber, 17, will take a DNA test to prove that he is not the father of 20-year-old Mariah Yeater’s newborn son as she claims. But that’s not all!
Apparently, Justin meant business when he said that he wasn’t going to be “a victim,” as he and his lawyers are already prepping to sue Yeater to send a message that there are consequences for spreading false allegations against people; especially people with the resources to fight back.
Bieber, currently in Europe, will take the test in two weeks when he returns to the United States. A lab has already been selected, and sources say that once Yeater’s lawyers received word that he had agreed to the test and may take legal action himself, they were “nervous.”
Mariah Yeater is seeking financial support from the singer, whom she claims is the father of her three-month-old son. Yeater alleges that she and Bieber engaged in a sexual encounter during one of his California tour stops, but Justin denies her story, saying that he “never met the woman.”
