Piers Morgan Welcomes Fourth Child: Elise

Piers Morgan and his wife Celia Walden have welcomed a baby girl. The Daily Mail reports that the CNN talk show host and the 34-year-old journalist have named their daughter Elise. The birth took place at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

It’s the first child for Celia, who is the daughter of former Conservative MP George Walden. Piers has three sons from a previous marriage, Spencer, 18, Stanley, 14, and Albert, 11.

The couple met on a photo shoot for GQ and were married last June. Morgan proposed by giving her the book Marry Me by her favorite author John Updike.

So far Morgan’s rep has made no comment.

I’m sure the baby is lovely (what baby isn’t?) but I’m no fan of Piers Morgan. How the heck did he manage to get a coveted time slot on CNN when he is a virtual unknown over here? Seriously, think of all the talented contenders here in the US for Larry King’s old time slot and they decided on him?

Yeah, aren’t Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and George Clooney all older than 46? They look way younger than this guy. Maybe 46 is his official age and he’s really 54.
