Kelly Preston Drops 39 Pounds Post Baby

Most moms know the hardship of losing weight post-baby. When Kelly Preston had her son Benjamin a year ago, she braced herself for the tough road that lay ahead of her.

The now fit and fabulous mom recently spoke to People about her body, her 39 lb weight loss and how she stays fit at almost 50.

“When I got pregnant at 48, I didn’t know if my body would bounce back,” Preston says.

And bounce back it did.

Not only did the she shed the baby weight, but over the past year Kelly has dipped to below her pre-pregnancy weight – and is enjoying her new trim figure and renewed vitality as she approaches the mid-century mark.

“I lost 39 lbs., have more energy than I had 20 years ago – and I feel amazing,” Preston says. “I’m going to be turning 50 next year – holy s–––! Hey, 50 is the new 30.”

She credits her weight loss success with The Organic Liaison – a weight-loss program created by Preston and her husband John Travolta’s close friend Kirstie Alley, who marked her own personal best this past summer by shedding 100 lbs.

“I was so excited when my best friend created Rescue Me,” says Preston of the diet plan’s organic supplement system that targets cravings and “boosts natural energy,” according to the Organic Liaison website.

“It’s pretty much the most genius thing ever,” says Preston, who recently signed on as the weight-loss system’s spokesperson.

But a fantastic new physique is not the only cause for happiness in the Travolta household.

“We just celebrated Ben’s first birthday,” Preston says. “I can’t believe it’s already been a year.”

Um, okay. A woman had a baby, then lost weight.

This is not miracle science here, you know.
