Ryan Phillippe and son Deacon and daughter Ava were spotted as they grabbed lunch at a restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif. on Sunday (December 4).
Ava, 11, is still a mirror image of her mom, Reese Witherspoon, while seven-year-old Deacon is starting to look more and more like his dad – even mirroring Ryan’s hand-in-pocket pose.
Ryan has yet to confirm that he’s the father of ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp’s five-month-old daughter, Kailani, even though the birth certificate lists the baby’s full name as Kailani Merizalde Phillippe Knapp.
There were also reports that Ryan introduced Ava and Deacon to the infant a few months ago. “Ryan is trying to figure things out, but he believes the baby is his,” a source said at the time. “So he wanted them to meet her.”

I do not understand these news of saying that Ava looks like her mom and Deacon as his father. I think it is just the opposite. To me it is obvious that Ava has inhereted most of her looks from her father, while Deacon looks more like his mother. In fact, I believe this is how it goes many times (although not always): daughters resemble their fathers, and sons look like their mothers.
I can see how people think Reese and Ava look alike, but to me Ava looks a lot more like her dad. Reese’s face is much more angular, I think Ava has her dad’s soft features, as does Deacon.
Agreed. Ava used to be her mom’s carbon copy, but not anymore… definitely looks a lot more like Ryan than she used to. Both kids are gorgeous, whoever they look like.
