Michael Bublé may not be a dad just yet, but he’s seen enough of fatherhood to know that it’s not always an easy gig.
An ardent hockey fan, when asked if he hopes to have enough kids for an entire team, the singer tells Parade.com, “I hope not! Watching my best friend with his newborn, I think one is enough. This poor guy doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going. I went to see him the other day and he had poop all over him – and he was happy! I was like, ‘Wow, I can wait for that.'”
Despite the terrors of diaper duty, Michael recently revealed that he is looking forward to starting a family with his new wife, Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato: “I’ve said to [Luisana] a million times I’d love to have kids. But I always say to her when you’re ready – when you feel like you’ve lived and you’ve partied and done all the things you want to do. When you’ve worked your butt off, then tell me.”
The Canadian crooner, who will be starring in A Michael Buble Christmas on NBC tomorrow night, also shares his wish for the year ahead: “To live more in the moment,” he says. “And to be happy with what I have.”
