Jessica Simpson On Her Cravings: "This Week It's Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches!"

Like many expectant mothers, Jessica Simpson seems to have developed some interesting food cravings during the possible later stages of her pregnancy!

The 31-year-old singer – who is expecting her first child with her fiancé Eric Johnson – reveals that she is craving comfort foods such as good ole PB&J – with a twist!

“This week it’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted,” she says. “And then, I’ll put some salt on my hand like I’m taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich.”

The Fashion Star mentor also admits to riding the pregnant emotional roller coaster.

“That’s the one thing about pregnancy — I’ll cry at the drop of a hat,” she claims. “Even a great souffle would make me cry.”

However, not all the tears are for nothing. Jessica says that she was overcome with emotion when she felt her baby move for the first time.

“I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears. It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, ‘There it went. It’s there. It’s really there.’”

The pop singer claims that her adorable 3-year-old nephew Bronx – his parents are Jess’s younger sis’ Ashlee Simpson and ex-hubby Pete Wentz – is getting in on the belly actio and gender predictions!

“He rubs my belly. He has guesses,” she laughs. “He said he wants it to be a girl… He thinks it’s going to be a girl.”

Although Jessica may feel like she’s having a baby girl, that won’t stop the star from putting her own personal flair on a little boy.

“I’ll just put him in a Tutu,” she jokes.

She so huge that I doubt this could possibly be the first time she felt the baby move unless she has an elephants gestation…I don’t want to NOT like her! She just makes it impossible TO like her. Nobody can be as stupid as she acts and still function….

    “Crocodile tears” means faking emotion.

oh shut up guys leave her alone it’s normal for a first time expectant mom not to feel her child move until the last stages of pregnancy depending on which way the baby is facing

It’s definitely not normal. A fetus turns and moves regularly starting from the point the spine and limbs are developed. Not feeling movement is usually a sign that something’s wrong.

She is not saying her baby was NOT moving just that she did not feel it move until now… And YES it is very normal for first time mothers not to recongize baby movement until later than more experienced moms. I felt second baby movement a couple months before my first one.

Are you an OBGYN doctor? I sincerely doubt it. For first time moms it can be harder to tell their baby is moving and/or to feel their babies first movements. Also, if they have a front-sided placenta its highly likely that they won’t feel their babies movement until later in pregnancy.

I think the baby daddy looks like Tori Spelling’s baby daddy….they have a similar look. Jessica’s guy is the better looking one!

I dont think she understood what “crocodile tears” means. And to some people it does mean those big giant tears, not fake tears. And it’s normal for some women to not feel the baby all that early. I think she is in her 6th month, she just looks big. Not everyone has the same belly shape obviously! But… I thought eating peanut products is a no-no? I am 29 weeks preggo and I have eaten some of the ‘no no foods’ but peanuts are one I have generally stayed away from. I don’t think she is NEARLY as stupid as she pretends. Let’s not forget this woman has a billion dollar fashion empire which SHE built from the ground up. I don’t even think she’s that huge. Her weight was up there before she got pregnant and she certainly doesn’t look big and bloated. She looks fuller and rounder but not scary big.

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that until 5 or 10 years ago, no pregnant woman was told to stay away from peanut products…. and now that they are, there are peanut-allergic kids EVERYWHERE?
