Rachel Zoe Shops With Her Trendy Tot

Rachel Zoe Shops With Her Trendy Tot

Rachel Zoe had her 8-month-old son Skyler along as she headed to Barneys in Beverly Hills, California today to do a bit of Christmas shopping (December 16). Love the beret!

It seems the stylist to the stars applies her expert eye to her son’s wardrobe as well – little Skyler’s outfits are always perfectly put together. As for Rachel, she accessorized today’s look with her usual over-sized sunglasses.

Rachel recently admitted that she can’t stop herself from buying new duds for her darling boy:

Every minute I have to buy things for my son. It is too much fun. It is like dressing a live doll. He has no opinion.”

You just KNOW this kid is going to prefer American Eagle or Hollister when he grows older and gets to dress himself! That’ll drive RZ crazy!

Do they ever smile or look happy?!

It looks like they’re getting into or out of a car in this set of photos. Would you be smiling? Do you walk around smiling all the time?

No, in ever single pic of her she looks like a major witch.

Actually I do when I am out with my son who is 14 months old and as a result he is always smiling too. I pick him out of the car with a smile and a kiss. My son is a very happy, smiley baby and I believe that’s partly in a response to my behaviour toward him.

I totally agree with you! The way you act and react is reflected in your baby’s behavior (most of the time).
And for Rachel Zoe; this baby is just an accessory. And for the record; I haven’t seen her smiling in any of the pictures when she was pregnant or with her son. I was glowing, and still am, when Im around mine.

She also never looks at or makes eye contact with the baby. They seem very disconnected from each other because she always has to have her sunglasses on. Even giving the baby a bottle, she’s looking away AND wearing her sunglasses. The baby really is just like an accessory to her

Well, you are clearly a better person than her. Now let me follow you around and shove a camera in your face everywhere you go. Guaranteed that you’ll stop smiling quick and so will your baby.

Then why do other celebrities who have older children and have been putting up with it for longer, manage to prioritise their focus on their children and ooze happiness to and from their children?!

Maybe it’s because you treat him like a human being instead of a stuffed dress up doll…

I know what you mean, I am always talking to and interacting with my 20 month old and I can’t help but smile. In saying that, despite that we never see Rachel smiling, Skyler seems like a very happy baby judging from a lot of the pics where he has a gorgeous smile on his face.

I feel he’s a fashion accessory to her. And that quote doesn’t help her either. He’s human, Rachel, not a doll…

Look! A parent and child going about their business and not jumping for joy at being photographed by strangers. I for one am totally offended by their seeming inability to constantly be entertaining. Bitch.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. But other celebs who aren’t grinning ear to ear like clowns on speed still look normal and nonchalant v.s. miserable like her. She looks like a sour puss.

Indeed! She just looks…irritated and miserable to be with her son or something. We understand you can’t smile all the time, but there is a difference between looking nice without smiling or looking sour.

Her face is not naturally “happy”, so what? These photos represent 4 seconds of a day. Do you really want to judge someone so harshly based on 4 seconds?

Sorry, but I’ve never seen a picture of her smiling, it’s always the same scowl – maybe it’s just her “trademark” expression, I don’t know.

It would take years off her age if she just relaxed the scowl a bit and didn’t necessarily smile, but kept a neutral expression on her face. Those smoker’s creases around her mouth wouldn’t be as pronounced….

Yeah, you’re right Janna, what were we thinking? The glum, pained expression is just an aberration. Normally Ms. Zoe is full of smiles and sugar and spice and is one of the most pleasant celebs featured on the site.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m just saying that her naturally, relaxed expression could sort of a scowl. It doesn’t mean she *IS* scowling or unhappy. It’s just what she looks like, so why continue to beat someone up over that every.single.day?

I don’t know if she’s pleasant or not, I don’t know the woman and I’ve only seen her show for about 10 minutes once and didn’t really like it.

By saying that the photo reflects 4 seconds of her life you seemed to be implying that the cameras simply caught her at a bad moment..

She’s a disheveled mess. Her sleeves are too long, her pants are too long, her shirt is hiking up in the back – she looks like she’s coming apart. If her clients showed up in public looking like she does, she’d probably be embarrassed to be associated with them. Come on, Rachel, eat more, you’ll fill out your clothes better and look more like the age you claim to be instead of a senior citizen!

It takes more effort to look grumpy than look happy. Does she think wearing a pout is attractive? I know we only see a glimpse of her entire day but bit of a big coincidence that she just so happens to never be smiling or interacting with her baby seeing as that should be what happens the majority of the time. She should take an example from Jen Garner whose constant smile and air of happiness is mirrored in her children. That’s what being a parent is about. Not playing dress up.

Oh please! Now you’ve determined that she’s not a good parent by the number of times you’ve seen her smiling in paparazzi photos?!?! You’ve also decided that she doesn’t interact with her baby enough?!?!

      You’re a riot, Alice!
