Rapper, actor, and businessman Ludacris is a proud papa, as he recently helped his 10-year-old daughter, Karma, launch a new educational website for kids in grades 1-6 called KarmasWorld.com.
“She kept telling me how she wanted to be a singer, so I thought, ‘This is perfect, but it needs to be about what’s going on in your life,’ and her life right now is pretty much school,” the rapper tells The Huffington Post of how KarmasWorld came to fruition.
After some brainstorming, the father-daughter team decided to create a site that taught kids real world lessons in addition to academics.
The site touches on subjects like the rewards of hard work and the importance of learning manners as well as the idea that doing good deeds for others will bring good into your life — which is the meaning of the word Karma,” Luda says in a statement.
According to the Grammy-winning artist, born Christopher Brian Bridges, it’s crucial to know a thing or two about the business world; which is something he learned from his mother as a child.
“My mother taught me [about being an entrepreneur] at an early age and I’d like to pass on the same thing to my daughter,” he explains. “It’s about creating wealth, it’s about putting her in a position where she can be her own boss and learn early on about business.”
