Natalie Maines & Family Get Ready For Takeoff
| Dec 28, 2011 by MARSHA TAKEDA-MORRISON |

Dixie Chick Natalie Maines and her husband Adrian Pasdar arrived at Los Angeles International Airport with sons Slade, 10, and Beckett, 7, on Tuesday (December 27).
Fans want to know when the Dixie Chicks will end their hiatus – they've rarely played together since 2007 – but according to bandmates Martie Maguire and Emily Robison the decision is solely Natalie's.
"Natalie is the one that wants the hiatus right now," Martie admits. "Emily and I have made it no secret that we live and breathe music. I feel like I'm missing an arm and a leg."
While they wait on Natalie's decision, Martie along with sister Emily formed a country/folk duo in the meantime called Court Yard Hounds. "We felt like the Court Yard Hounds thing made sense. It was so fun. I feel like I've gotten to know Emily so much better," Martie said. "We're trying to keep our toes in the water while we take time with our families. So, we're waiting on Natalie to say 'Ok, guys. I'm ready.' Emily and I realize we can't force that. We're friends first, and the band's too important, so we're waiting on her!"
