Anja’s so happy that she’s going to be a big sister, it’s written all her adorable little face! I love those chubby cheeks and that big smile, I think she’s really cute and pretty tall for 3!

She does have a different kind of face. But I don’t think her mom is very attractive either. Small eyes and big nose don’t make for a very pretty model.

For models, the figure is more critical than the face. If you have the “ideal” model physique and can wear the designers’ clothes (less than 10% of the population is so blessed with these genes), a plain or unusual looking face is not a big deal — hair and make up can do wonders.

Unkind comments regarding the physical characteristics of celebs (especially those who make a living based on their looks) are not only rude in and of themselves, but at the least indicate a severe lack of breeding and should be disregarded. But to express them when describing a beautiful innocent child are nothing short of ….unconscionable. What were you thinking?

Lack of breeding? What does that mean? She doesn’t breed enough because she doesn’t think this kid is beautiful? Not every kid is good looking by the way, it’s not a horrible thing, it’s the truth. If you can’t handle that you’ve led a very sheltered life.

What is wrong with small eyes? You know asians have small eyes are you saying none of them are pretty? And that “big nose” you claim this model has is called the “model look” it’s called having bone structure and a defined face it makes the face defined and elegant which is what the modeling industry wants. The button nose is cute and beautiful too but it’s for a different audience more for acting etc. Modeling equals defined face, elegance. Acting equals cute appeal.

Who are any of you to be critical of anyone? Mom & daughter are beautiful. I think Alessandra is really unique looking & her daughter is anything but odd looking.

That’s YOUR opinion. Is yours the only valid one?

Thinking Anja isn’t a cute child isn’t an invalid opinion, but it is incredibly harsh and unnecessary to say it out loud or write it on a public forum. That said, I can’t imagine thinking that sweet, smiling face isn’t adorable.

The point isn’t whether an opinion is valid or not. The point is that it’s incredibly cruel and mean to make derogatory comments about a child’s appearance. (Or anyone’s appearance, really.) It contributes nothing of value. I certainly don’t think everyone in the world is attractive, but I don’t go around pointing it out, because what point is there?

Is there something wrong with just being kind and keeping such opinions to yourself? I know it’s a cliche, but what is wrong with following the saying, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”?

Because that’s what this comment section is for, our opinions. It’s not like we’re sending the little girl a letter saying ‘guess what, you’re ugly!’. As much as it hurts your fragile little soul, the world is not all puppy dogs and rainbows.
