Jessica Simpson Dishes About Her Latest Pregnancy Cravings

Mom-to-be Jessica Simpson is experiencing some serious cravings for salt during her pregnancy! After revealing her penchant for toasted PB&J sandwiches, the Fashion Star mentor says that she’s enjoying a different delicacy these days.

“Kraft mac and cheese with Lawry’s seasoning salt is the breakfast for pregnant champions!!!” Simpson, 31, tweeted.

In December, Jessica visited with Rachel Ray and talked to the daytime host about how her salt cravings have changed the way she eats peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

“This week it’s peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted. And then, I’ll put some salt on my hand like I’m taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich,” explains the entrepreneur.

As with most other pregnant women, the cravings are just the beginning…. Simpson has also commented on the emotional changes she’s experienced, saying, “I’ll cry at the drop of a hat.”

Jessica and beau Eric Johnson are expecting their first child together this year. The couple hasn’t announced a wedding date yet, but according to Simpson, they plan to wed after the baby is born.

“We were always going to wait [until] after the baby,” she explained. “We flirted around with different dates before I found out I was pregnant, and thankfully we didn’t lock anything down. I want to enjoy the day … I’m glad we didn’t make a deposit. I just didn’t want to be stressed out. Now when I get stressed out it’s like 50 times worse. So I really want to enjoy that day and now I get to have my baby with me.”

    Poor thing.

I guess she already knows about the sodium content in the K M-n-C let alone the Lawry’s SS. Coming from someone who has to fight “salting her salt” I understand, but she’s gonna have to buck up and fight it because it’s beyond unhealthy for her and her baby. I’m a vegan now but when I ate meat, there was this lady I knew who made the best ever fried chicken and all she used was Lawry’s Season Salt and pepper. She’d make a brine of it and let the chicken just sleep in in it for awhile and oh my!

I’d hate to be pregnant w/ the baby’s father refusing to marry and all the eyes of America on me, feeding on juicy details and foolish tidbits about what my pregnancy cravings are and how I give in to them, with cameras and photographers around every corner. They should just let this poor girl alone and let her have her baby in peace. As for me, I hope she never sings another note. If she does, then we can return the Hollywood spotlight on her. She deserves the privacy at this special time that the photographers and public refuse to give her. Can’t people see how unfair it is to hold her up to ridicule, not envy or admiration?

The baby’s father refuses to marry her? Where are you getting THAT information?

As far as I can tell, no one here is ridiculing her. What would they ridicule her for?

I get cravings and all that…but for someone with unlimited sources of information and money…it baffles me why she thinks processed foods for breakfast is ok. I hope she eats fruits/veggies/or other nutritious food at some point during the day.
