Losing her unborn child at almost 5 months into her pregnancy was heartbreaking for actress and model Kelly Brook and boyfriend Thom Evans, but the British star tells Glamour that part of what has helped the healing process is knowing that she isn’t alone.
“I found that women approached me and wanted to talk about things that they’d been through themselves,” Brook tells the magazine. “I think they probably take comfort in knowing that even though you seem to have a very blessed life, bad things happen to you and it’s not your fault.
It happens to lots of people, and it’s not such a taboo,” Kelly explains. “It’s just one of those things, and probably the only positive thing to come out of something like that is that you can talk to people about it.”
Brook and Thom announced their pregnancy in March of 2011, telling friends and fans that they were expecting a baby girl via Twitter.
In May, a rep for Brook confirmed that after being rushed to the hospital, the couple lost their daughter, requesting privacy during the “very painful time.”
