Baby Mama star Amy Poehler and her 1-year-old son Abel stepped out to stock up on groceries in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday (January 7).
The Parks and Recreation actress – who is also mother to 3-year-old Archie with her fellow actor hubby Will Arnett – dressed casually for her outing in a pair of dark wash denim, button up blouse under a black long sleeved sweater and a green hat.
Adorable Abel – donning a yellow and brown monkey tee and stiped cotton pants – munched on an apple as his mama gave him a ride to their waiting vehicle.
The SNL comedienne will be helping one of the Golden Girls celebrate her 90th birthday. I’m talking about none other than naïve Rose Nylund from St. Olaf herself – Betty White.
Amy will join fellow celebrities such as Hugh Jackman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett and William Shatner at the star-studded gala.
Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl will air Monday, January 16 at 8/9c on NBC. The special will feature musical performances, surprise appearances and Betty go onstage to share some memories and express her gratitude to those who’ve come to honor her.

Whoa, where in the world did Abel get that colouring from? I see his mum in him, but those brown eyes and red hair are out of the blue!
You might want to learn a little bit about how genetics work before making such an ignorant comment.
Because commenting on a baby’s hair colour means I know nothing about genetics, right? I was just noting the differences between Abel and his parents and brother. It’s not a bad thing, or a stupid thing to say, I just found it interesting. But thanks for the advice, it’s super helpful.
You appeared not to understand how a child can have different hair and eye color from his parents. It’s really not a big mystery – it happens all the time, and it’s basic genetics. If you ask how it could have happened, yes, that means you are ignorant of basic genetics.
My husband and I both have brown hair and eyes and our daughter ended up with red hair and grey eyes
It’s a nice surprise. I’m sure there’s some red in the family somewhere.

He’d have to be a pretty small three year old, three year olds are generally pretty massive! I’d say the biggest he looks is 18mos to 2 years.
I think it’s both sad and funny that some people use these posts as an outlet to be mean and appear clever or witty in response to others opinions. Please take the old advise when making comments, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
