Christina Aguilera & Max: Cirque On Sunday

Singer Christina Aguilera, her boyfriend Matt Rutler and her son Max, 4, were among the crowd gathered at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California yesterday to catch Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour.”

Last week the ‘Beautiful’ songstress attended the funeral of legendary R&B singer Etta James, who passed away on January 20. Singing Etta’s hit ‘At Last,’ Christina revealed that the 73-year-old singer had been her idol.

“It isn’t every day that an artist can meet the person who inspired them and their career. Not only did I have the incredible opportunity of meeting my idol, the legendary Ms. Etta James, but to be asked by her family to perform at her memorial was so very touching and yet bitter sweet,” Christina said. “Etta wasn’t just any performer, she was a strong woman whose talent came from a place so deep it moved people in ways they never felt before. Losing her was, to me, like losing a part of my soul.”

Her son always looks so sad and unhappy. Xtina is too big to wear pants that cling.

I’m sure if you took your child out a theatre, and there were 20 or 30 flash bulbs going off over and over and over again, your child would not be smiling.

The clown makeup, the leggings, the tacky extensions – she must not have a mirror in her house, right?? She can’t possibly think this looks good?

Funny how she never actually credited Etta James as her idol BEFORE she died. It’s like when Michael Jackson died, suddenly every other singer was saying he was their inspiration when before their dances, music, styles were nothing like his.
