Reese Witherspoon: “I Have The Body I Earned”

Reese Witherspoon: "I Have The Body I Earned"

Mom-of-two Reese Witherspoon gets gorgeous in the pages of the March issue of Glamour UK. In the interview the down-to-earth actress, who has kids Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8, opens up about body image and plastic surgery – and reveals how she feels about growing older, gracefully, in Hollywood.

On body image: “I don’t worry about it. I have the body I earned: I had two kids and I’m still strong and healthy. And you start to have a different respect for your body the older you get. Instead of tearing yourself apart all the time, you start to go ‘Oh wow.’”

On plastic surgery: “I’m not for it. I’m not against it. I have plenty of friends who do stuff and if it makes you feel good, great … but I don’t think it’s the fix for some sort of unease that you’re having about who you are as a human being. I don’t think I need plastic surgery at this point: Can we just go day-by-day on that one?”

On turning 35: “Once I turned 35 I felt so much better but the anticipation leading up to it was miserable. It was less, ‘How do I look?’ and more, ‘What do I want to accomplish in life? Is this the career I love? Is this the legacy I want to leave for my kids?’”

Love Reese. Out of all the “celebs” posted about on this site, she and Jennifer Garner seem the most realistic and genuine.

I don’t see how they come off more realistic and genuine than any other mom on this site.

I can think of a few reasons:

–They’re seen with their kids a lot.
        –They’re photographed doing “normal” things.
–They usually aren’t wearing 6-inch stilletos at the gas station.
–They aren’t “glammed up” every minute of every day.
–They don’t have bodyguards and people holding their umbrellas for them.

I think Reese Witherspoon is smart and more genuine then the other moms on this site because she is the only one that doesn’t degrade herself and other women by posing in magazines for men. She even admitted in a magazine (i think it was Elle) that she doesn’t pose for T and A magazines and is flabbergasted by legit actors who think they are gaining something (other then money) by doing it. Reese is great example to her daughter for her daughter to value herself and her talents rather then just her physical appearance and assets. Reese is also a great example to her son who will learn to respect women and value them on talents and morals rather then idk appearance? Unlike basically every celeb mom on this site. I don’t think all the other moms on this site are bad though i just think Reese is the smartest lol.

I never had a problem with Reese and always liked her. Her comments about her body image is right on. We see her on daily jogs and yet, we see pics of her in a swimsuit and has a “normal” body. It’s refreshing to see that change instead of these stars racing to shed the baby weight off (cough, cough: Jessica Alba).

These photos are lovely. Reese looks so much more beautiful in glamourous images than she does in the sultry type. She looks like a classic Old Hollywood star.
