Jason Bateman & Amanda Anka Welcome Baby No. 2: Maple Sylvie!

Jason Bateman & Amanda Anka Welcome Baby No. 2: Maple Sylvie!

It’s another girl for Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka!

A rep for the 43-year-old Horrible Bosses star confirms the family’s new arrival to JustJared.com, saying that daughter Maple Sylvie was born on Friday, February 10 in Los Angeles, California. She joins beautiful big sister Francesca Nora, 5.

Though Jason and Amanda didn’t announce the pregnancy, proud grandpa Paul Anka did it for them, saying in August: “I’m going to be a grandfather again,” and adding that it was “another baby girl!”

Congratulations to them on the wonderful news!

I’m usually the one defending unique names, but this is just bad.
I’m sure it means something to them, and they are really in love with the name… They could have at least done Mabel though… Oh well, To each their own!

With their first daughter named something as beautiful and traditional as Francesca Nora I totally was totally not expecting something like Maple Sylvie. That totally came from left field. But hey, it could always be worse.

Couldn’t they look into the future and see that kids will be calling her Maple Syrup? Just wait.
