Matthew Broderick & James Strollin' To School

Matthew Broderick, 49, and son, James Wilkie, 9, caught some fresh air walking to school in New York City this morning (February 16). The father-son duo were dressed alike in their puffy jackets and comfy sneakers. The young lad also showed off his long dirty blonde mane and ripped up jeans.

The Biloxi Blues star - who is married to Sarah Jessica Parker and also father to 2-year old twin daughters, Loretta and Tabitha - received some attention earlier this year as his ‘Ferris Bueller’ character appeared in an ad during the Super Bowl. The ad has since received over 14 million views on YouTube.

The actor/performer will be back on the Broadway scene this year after a two year break starring in the upcoming musical Nice Work If You Can Get It. The production is set to premiere in the Spring of 2012.

For the umpteenth time, why does this child always look dirty and disheveled? He looks like a street urchin. He looks like he's going to play in the dirt instead of going to school.

For the umpteenth time, when are you going to get it through your thick head that that's the way he looks, and it's not going to change, no matter how many times you comment on it? And that there isn't actually anything wrong with how he looks?

Actually, he never looks "dirty". Maybe not as if he goes to prep school but pretty typical. I agree, nothing wrong with the way he looks.

If you don't think there's anything wrong with the way he looks, don't have kids.

Why? Are parents who would let their kids hair grow long are unfit? Or because he's wearing ripped jeans? Oh my! Call the parent police!
