Kristin Davis & Her Brentwood Baby

Sex and the City star Kristin Davis was seen lunching with friends and her 6-month-old daughter Gemma in Brentwood, Calif. on Thursday (February 16). The actress was every bit the doting new mom as she held baby Gemma and placed her comfortably into the stroller.

The 46-year-old actress became a mother last August through domestic adoption. "I have been thinking about adoption for a long time," Kristin said. "It had taken me a while to feel that I could take on parenthood by myself. It is a huge change in my life."

Kristin recalled the moment she brought her daughter home for the first time.

When Gemma came to my house she was so tiny and precious," said Kristin, adding that she was worried about holding Gemma at first. "It is an amazing thing to be responsible for a tiny baby and I just wanted her to have the best care and all the love possible."
