Jon Gosselin: "Being A Single Dad Has Brought Me Closer To My Children"

Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality dad Jon Gosselin may have recently split from girlfriend Ellen Ross, but the father-of-eight is picking himself up, dusting off the pieces, and re-focusing his energy on his children.

“I am doing great, moving on with my life, focusing on my kids and my businesses,” Jon reveals to Star magazine. “I’m in a much better place in my life right now. I’m just hanging out with friends, meeting new people and trying to focus on my kids.”

“Being a single dad with no interruptions has really brought me closer to my children,” he adds. “I really feel being a single dad has improved my self-awareness and well-being.”

Jon – who split with ex-wife Kate Gosselin in 2009 and is father to 11-year-old twins Cara and Mady and 7-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis, and Hannah – claims his children are all doing very well.

“They know that I love them, and I know that they love me, and it’s really important that they enjoy their childhood,” the Pennsylvania native says. “The break hasn’t affected them at all, because I always made sure that I am the constant in their life.”

“I still have a lot of work to do on myself, and I am an extremely busy person, between work and the children,” he adds. “My family is the most important thing in my life. I will strive to make it better for them every day.”

      Of course he is happy
he has no day-to-day responsibility for those kids.

Then, by your account, Kate should be equally happy too. That’s also like saying that anyone who works a daily job has no daily responsibility for their kids. Every good parent knows this isn’t true.

Why are you bringing up Kate? The interview wasn’t with Kate talking, it was with Jon.

The kids don’t live with him, he has minor visitation. I’d say that meant he has no day-to-day responsibility for them. You can’t deny simple fact.

I would have given Jon custody of half of the children. Kate should have 4 and Jon should have 4.

Jon is the only hope these children have of a normal life. I only hope he keeps them off TV and continues to be a loving presence in their lives. Kate continues to want to exploit them for her own celebrity and for the money putting these kids on TV has brought her. The deserve their childhood.

Get lost Kate…..give up the kids to someone who loves them & wants them to lead a normal life instead of supporting a selfish parent like kate. Those kids are now learning any values of life.
