Every mom knows the panic you feel when your little one’s fever crawls up a tad too high for mama’s comfort, getting him ready to throw in the car and head to the ER if it creeps up just a hair more. And every mother knows that overwhelming sense of relief when the fever finally breaks. Sandra Bullock experienced that very moment last week when her two-year-old son Louis fell ill.
The 47-year-old actress may have looked calm, cool, and collected on the red carpet this past Sunday at the Academy Awards but events leading up to the prestigious evening were anything but that.
A source reveals to Us Weekly that the Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close actress had a conversation with a friend about her sick son during a trip to the bar inside the show. When asked about her sweet son, Sandra admitted that he had fallen ill earlier in the week.
“The scariest thing happened the other day,” Sandra says. “Louis had this really high fever.”
“I kept trying to break it with Tylenol, but it wouldn’t work!” she continues. “I was freaking out that he might have a seizure…I was about to jump in the car [to take him to the ER] when his fever finally broke. He’s fine now, but it was so scary.”
“He’s getting so big!” the star says to her pal. Pointing to her hip, she continues, “He comes up to here on me now!”
