Rosie Pope's TV Series: "From Placenta Eating To Pregnancy Porn"

Maternity concierge Rosie Pope is keeping things interesting on her reality TV series Pregnant in Heels! “From placenta eating to pregnancy porn,” Rosie’s clients are keeping the expectant mama on her toes.

Rosie has struggled with fertility, and talked about having surgery on her uterus, multiple rounds of IVF and a heart-breaking ectopic pregnancy. The reality TV star opens up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about her “birth strategies,” preparing for a daughter after two boys, and her maternity must-haves.

CBS: How are you feeling these days? Are you due soon? Are you getting prepped for baby No. 3?

RP: “I feel great. I think I got a second wind somewhere around the sixth month. I’m actually due mid May so I am suddenly starting to feel the need to get all stocked up on everything from diapers to onesies. I am a planner!”

CBS: Are you still in shock that it’s a girl this time around? Have you had lots of fun shopping for her? Do you have any names picked out?

RP: “Yes, and to be honest, I only just bought her first dress. But now that I’ve done it, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to stop. I’m kind of obsessed with the bathing suits for some reason. We do have a name but it’s a secret.”

CBS: What is your birth plan? What have your previous births been like? Are you hoping for similar births this time around?

RP: “I believe in birth strategies not birth plans. It is impossible to plan it; you can only prepare and develop a strategy but remain flexible in the moment. If people get too caught up in plans they can be disappointed with how their labor goes, and nobody should go into motherhood disappointed.

I have had high risk pregnancies, so for me, my strategy is to go to the hospital and doctor that I love and bring on the epidural and do everything I can to have a healthy, uneventful delivery so I can hold that sweet baby in my arms.”

CBS: How are you preparing your boys for their baby sister? Do you think they ‘get it’?

RP: “My oldest is 3 and he totally gets it. He’s excited to teach his little brother how to be safe and gentle around the baby. He’s very good at singing lullabies.”

CBS: Are you a bit nervous about having 3 under 4? How are you preparing yourself, mentally and emotionally?

RP: “[Laughs] Yes! But I’ve surrendered to the crazy and kind of just love how nuts our lives are and will be. I am obsessed with schedules though: food, naps, bedtime. It makes everything more manageable.”

CBS: Tell us about your education studios MomPrep. What’s it all about? How can we learn more?

RP: “MomPrep classes happen in our store before and after hours (the stores turn into studios) and cover everything from childbirth education and breastfeeding, to sleep training and complimentary seminars on fitness and nutrition. We also host events by companies I work with, like Clearblue, that help me educate women on how to become pregnant and have healthy pregnancies.

For more information go to www.RosiePope.com.”

CBS: How’s your maternity clothing and accessory line going? What are some of your must-have accessories/items?

RP: “We are so excited to have been able to expand our product offerings and reduce our prices this year. Some of my must-haves for Spring are: Pret Pant Classic, Best Dress, Sierra Tunic, the Rosie Henley and both versions of the London Shopper Diaper Bag (Classic and Leisure).

All items can be found online at www.RosiePopeMaternity.com.”

CBS: Which celeb moms have great maternity style, in your opinion?

RP: “I love celeb moms that stay true to their style when pregnant from Molly Sims to Alessandra Ambrosio.”

CBS: Tell us what’s happening over at Pregnant in Heels.

RP: “I am so excited about this season. Forget baby showers and baby names, this year we have everything from placenta eating to pregnancy porn! The clients are wild! I am also excited that people get to learn more about my business and see my growing family and all the craziness that goes with it!”

CBS: What’s up next for you?

RP: “We are opening in LA this March, my first book on pregnancy comes out this fall, and I am so excited to be working with some incredible brands like Clearblue.

Getting pregnant has not been the easiest road for me and having products like the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and Ovulation Tests have helped take the guess work out of it for me and many other women. So I am proud to tell people about their products.

And season 2 of Pregnant in Heels will air on Bravo this spring/summer.”
