Melanie Griffith and her 22-year-old daughter Dakota Johnson were seen leaving Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, Calif. on Sunday night (March 4).
As they drove away the 54-year-old actress looked amused by the attention they got.
It’s nice to see her smiling after years of dealing with substance abuse. Her husband Antonio Banderas opened up on their marriage in an interview last year.
The Spanish actor talked about his wife’s struggle with sobriety and that they have never “hidden” their problems.
He shared, “We discovered the value and warmth of family, and what is home — that we can be stronger together. That thing that you thought was gone comes back again, and you fall in love again.”
He added, “She has overcome her problems beautifully. I didn’t know she was so strong. It makes me love her even more, because she has been an unbelievable lion fighting, and she got it. The last [relapse] was three years ago, and it just welded us.”
Griffith has daughter Stella, 15, with Banderas and a 26-year-old son Alexander with ex-husband Steven Bauer.
