Melrose Place alum Jack Wagner is father to his two sons Harrison, 17, and 21-year-old Peter but it seems the 52-year-old musician is also father to a long-lost daughter. According to PEOPLE, Jack was reunited with his 23-year-old daughter Kerry – who had been put up for adoption as an infant – last November and the actor has every intention to continue their budding relationship.
“I get so emotional,” the Dancing With The Stars contestant reveals, choking back tears during a break in rehearsals with pro partner Anna Trebunskaya. “She’s the new light in my life, as well as my sons, and I’m really grateful to her for having the courage to find me.”
Jack had allegedly been informed about the baby by her mother only after the child was put up for adoption. Although he hired a lawyer, he was told that his legal options were limited and he never knew for certain if the mother – with whom he only had a brief relationship – was being truthful.
Kerry – who is currently a dance instructor in Florida – embarked on a search for her birth parents that ended up leading her to her father.
Kerry will be joining Jack along with other family members on April 16 during his Celebrity Golf Classic benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She will also be part of Jack’s cheering squad during his stint on Dancing With The Stars.
November was a big month for Jack. Not only did he come into contact with an alleged long-lost daughter, the actor called off his engagement from fellow Melrose Place co-star and longtime love Heather Locklear, both of them claiming that a “blended family” would be too hard on the kids.
