Lourdes Leon: Denim Girl

Lourdes Leon: Denim Girl

Lourdes Leon was seen running around New York City on Thursday (March 29). The 15-year-old wore tight black pants, a neon green sweater and a jean jacket decorated with patches. This time no cigarette was seen on her – unlike the other day when she was spotted lighting up with friends.

Next month she will be joining her mom Madonna on her concert tour. She is set to appear on stage in Israel.

E! reports Madonna recently got in some hot water during her performance at Miami’s Ultra Musical Festival last Saturday.

She asked the crowd, “How many people in this crowd have seen molly?”

Many people, including DJ and producer Deadmau5 thought she was making a drug reference to ecstasy.

However she fired back on Twitter – linking to a black and white photo of herself dressed as Minnie Mouse.

She says, “From one mouse to another, I don’t support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song called “Have You Seen Molly” written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album.”

Must the cigarette be mentioned every time from this point forward? It’s as if she’s the first teenager to try picking up a smoke a friend handed her.

“She is set to appear on stage in Israel.”–that’s not true. Madonna said that was undecided and that Lourdes might just help out backstage in the wardrobe department as she did on her last tour. It’s also not clear if Lourdes (and Madonna’s other children) will join her until they get out of school in June (and throughout the summer).

I think they should restrict where pictures of minors can be taken–outside their schools should be off-limits to paparazzi, especially when not accompanied by their celebrity parent.

There were “Have you seen Molly?” posters all over the venue promoting Cedric’s track and video. Deadmau5 should’ve given his paycheck back if he was morally opposed to those words being uttered (it’s kind of hypocritical given his “relationship” with substances). I have yet to hear him attack Cedric or Ultra organizers. I hope his rants have nothing to do with Madonna rejecting the tracks he submitted in order to work with her on her current album. Hmm.
