Slash & Family Enjoy A Family Day Down Under

Guns N’ Roses alum Slash – born Saul Hudson – was spotted enjoying a leisurely day out with his family on Friday (March 30) in Sydney, Australia.

The 46-year-old rocker was joined by his wife Perla Ferrar and their two boys London, 9, and 7-yer-old Cash as they sauntered through a local park before heading into town. Judging by the pictures, tt seems the whole family had something to say to the snapping paparazzi.

So how did Saul ever end up with the stage name of Slash?

“It was a nickname that [actor] Seymour Cassel used to call me,” he reveals. “I used to be [and] I’m still good friends with his son, Matt, so I used to hang out over at their house and he always used to call me Slash.”

“Basically, he says it was because I was always in a hurry and I was always scheming, I was always hustling, this and that,” he adds “He always saw me on the go, on the fly. So he used to call me Slash and it just stuck. My friends started calling me that and it just became a permanent nickname.”
