Queen Elizabeth is a great-grandmother again! The 85-year-old Queen is said to be “delighted” that her eldest grandson Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn have welcomed a baby girl. Married since 2008 – they have named their daughter Isla Elizabeth Phillips.
Isla was born at Gloucestershire Hospital on Thursday (March 29). She weighed in at 7 pounds and 4 ounces (3.29 kilograms). She is 13th in line to the throne.
Buckingham Palace stated, “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Autumn’s family have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
The couple already have a 14-month-old daughter named Savannah.
Peter’s mother is Princess Anne, the Princess Royal. She is the only daughter of the Queen and Prince Philip.
