Madonna may have recently broken the record previously held by Elvis when her latest album MDNA entered the UK charts at No.1 and has had people falling at her feet for years but it seems her children Lourdes, 15, Rocco, 12, David, 6, and 5-year-old Mercy are tougher to please.
“My kids are brutally honest when it comes to what they don’t like,” the Give Me All Your Luvin’ singer tells The Sun. “They have no tact whatsoever.”
“They’ll just say, ‘Mum, get that song off’ even when mine,” she continues. “It’s hurtful but at least they’re honest.”
Madonna may appreciate her children’s honesty but the star admits she is working harder than ever to get in shape for her upcoming tour. She’s even on a “skipping diet.”
“I have to say that in more than 25 years of performing I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous,” the Queen on Pop reveals. “Or freaked out more than I have at the minute.
“My whole life has been a combination of hard work and prayer,” she adds. “Preparation is essential but you need as many angels watching over you as possible as well. I’m getting ready for rehearsing my world tour so I have been in training.”
So what exactly exercise-wise has Madonna been up to?
“There’s been lots of cardio and I’m doing a combination of pilates and dance cardio,” she says. “And there’s been plenty of skipping rope work. The envelope I’m pushing for is as spectacular a show as I can. It should be a feast for the eyes and ears.”
