Reese Witherspoon Spends $600 On Maternity Jeans

Reese Witherspoon is preparing for her expanding waistline!

On Saturday, the Academy Award-winning actress was spotted shopping for maternity clothes for the first time, Us Weekly reports. And according to a source, the expectant mama spared no expense on comfort and style!

The This Means War star, 36, dropped by the Paige Denim store near her home in Brentwood, Calif. with her 12-year-old daughter Ava.

“They were both really sweet and polite,” an insider tells the mag. The expectant mama spent nearly $600 on three pairs of jeans, the observer adds.

The Legally Blonde star selected the Union Ultra Skinny in Caress ($199), Union Skyline Skinny in Capri ($199) and Union Skyline Ankle Peg in Optic White ($189) – all with inset elastic panels at the waist for extra comfort and support.

Married for one year, the Oscar winner and CAA agent Jim Toth 41, have yet make an official announcement about their happy baby news.

“[She wants to] let people figure it out,” a source says. “She’s been showing for a while.”

The baby-to-be will join Ava and Deacon, 8, Witherspoon’s kids with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

In the first picture she looks like she’s been sucking on lemons.

That’s really not that ridiculous. Most premium denim costs $200.00 a pair (maternity or not) – so that would be three pairs of maternity jeans. That hardly constitutes over-doing it.

Most of us can’t even afford $200 on ONE pair of jeans.

I also think that she is further along than what the tabloids reported…according to them she must be about 14 weeks pregnant? I think its at least 4 more weeks, more like 18, or 20 weeks. Unless, of course, its another set of Hollywood twins.
