Penélope Cruz Reveals Son's Name, Reasons For Living Outside L.A.

With her new film To Rome with Love set to hit theaters later this month, Penélope Cruz graces the latest cover of Harper’s Bazaar. In the interview, Penélope reveals for the first time that her 1-year-old son’s full name with husband Javier Bardem is Leonardo. The new mom also talks about her “favorite subject,” and her reasons for living outside Hollywood.

On raising her family outside L.A.: “When I come here now, I have so many memories. Some of them good, some of them not so good. I have lived beautiful moments here, but I don’t want to live here. It is not the place where I want to raise my kids.”

On Leonardo: “I talk about him all day long, even to strangers in the street; it is my favorite subject! But, you know; this is my job.”

On working less now that she’s a mom: “Maybe I’ll make one movie a year, maybe two, but it’s not going to be more than that because I have other priorities now.”

On staying out of the limelight: “I won’t go to places where you’re going to find more attention. I go to the opposite.” Her perfect day is “running around with my family at the beach, that’s all.”

She’s so right about that. The faster she gets out of Hollyweird the better. Get away from the phony, plastic, egotistical people.

Wasen’t she already making 1 or 2 movies a year before she had her baby? So I don’t see the big differences on.
